Simmons - Matilda Kashner

Mrs. Matilda Simmons, aged 69 years, died at the Lafayette Soldiers' Home, Wednesday morning. She was the wife of the late William Simmons and for many years was a resident of Darlington. Ten years ago she moved to the Soldiers' Home and for the past two years was in poor health, although her last sickness was of but a weeks' duration. She was the daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth Kashner and was the last of a family of 8 children. She leaves one son, Abraham and a grandson, Harley of Lafayette. Funeral services will be conducted at the East Christian Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be made at the Lutheran cemetery. -- kbz
